Linda Lowen – a journalist writing about women issues at womenissues.about.com has found the survey about US women who blog made by eMarketer.com .

The statistics are impressive:
•The US female internet population is 79 million
•More than half (53%) participate in social media at least once a week
•Of that 53%, 3/4ths are into social networking and 55% are into blogs

Regarding those blogs:

•22.7 million women read them
•12 million post to them
•8 million write them

The scale of social media usage among US women continues to grow, and blogs remain the go-to resource for those who want to gather information, share ideas and get reliable advice.

  1. Yes, I Believe that women ARE CHANGING THE WORLD. I love blogging because it gives me a platform to express myself without censorship. Women desire to read other women’s essays and declare….”Yeah, that’s how I feel. I get it!” We want to be heard. We want to make a difference. I believe this is happening in the blogmosphere.

    Women in the blogosphere will change the future of history…meaning that we no longer have to rely on an elite few to tell us what was happening or what people felt and thought about it.

    It’s a powerful thing!
